About The Author

I built a career in high-tech marketing, but no boardroom win ever quieted the voice inside me that wanted to be a mom. That longing pulled me through foster parenting, fertility treatments, donor conception, devastating loss, and even a landmark child custody battle in Texas.

Today, I use that experience to guide other women. I’m a speaker and as a certified life coach and founder of Cheri’s Choice, I help women explore all their options and create the family they’ve dreamed of without waiting for β€œperfect” circumstances.

I live in Austin, Texas, with my beautifully blended, completely unconventional family. I’m living proof: you don’t need a prince to live out your purpose.  You just need a plan, some grit, and the courage to write your own story.
